The Material Story
Hemp is the strongest natural fibre you can wear. Stronger than cotton by weight, more UV resistant, and naturally antimicrobial. Hemp canvas has been used for centuries in demanding applications, sailcloth, rope, work-wear, precisely because it holds up under real conditions.
The Hemp Shorts are built from 100% hemp canvas, grown without pesticides and processed without synthetic additives. Hemp requires approximately 50% less water to grow than conventional cotton and actually improves soil health. It is the most environmentally regenerative fibre we use.
These shorts have the structure and body of canvas with the breathability and comfort of natural fibre. They are built for movement, get better with age, and when you are eventually done with them, they biodegrade completely.
Machine wash cold. Tumble dry low or line dry. Hemp softens significantly with wear and wash.
Store folded, not hung. Natural fibres retain shape better when folded for longer periods.
Natural fibres improve with proper care. Avoid harsh detergents. Use a gentle, plant-based wash where possible.
At end of life, this garment will biodegrade completely. No microplastics. No synthetic residue.
