The Material Story
The jogger ended up almost entirely synthetic by default. Polyester blends, nylon waistbands, elastane mixed into cotton to reduce cost. The result is a garment that traps heat, sheds microplastics in every wash, and sits against your skin all day with a layer of petroleum between you and the fabric.
The Organic Cotton Jogger is made from 300gsm GOTS-certified organic cotton French terry. Heavy enough to feel substantial. Soft enough to wear all day. No synthetic fibres. Not even the waistband elastic is blended in.
GOTS certification means the cotton was grown organically, processed without toxic chemicals, and verified at every step of the supply chain by a third-party auditor. The highest standard in organic textile certification, required for every cotton piece we make.
Machine wash cold. Tumble dry low or hang dry. No bleach. Wash inside out to preserve colour.
Store folded, not hung. Natural fibres retain shape better when folded for longer periods.
Natural fibres improve with proper care. Avoid harsh detergents. Use a gentle, plant-based wash where possible.
At end of life, this garment will biodegrade completely. No microplastics. No synthetic residue.
